On August 2, INCOM received a reply from the Food and Drug Administration
again, stating that the "Super Clean" Recycled Polyester Chip (rPET) production
system was officially approved by the U.S. FDA E-G. After INCOM received the
first domestic FDA C approval in this field in July, INCOM's process level was
further recognized as effective and can be used to produce (COU) all food-grade
rPET under C-G.
FDA reply
FDA CG is based on the use conditions of rPET for grade specification evaluation, C refers to hot filling or pasteurization above 150 degrees Fahrenheit; D refers to hot filling or pasteurization below 150 degrees Fahrenheit; E refers to filling and storage at room temperature ( No heat treatment in the container); F means refrigerated storage (no heat treatment in the container); G means frozen storage (no heat treatment in the container). Based on this, INCOM "super clean" food-grade rPET can cover most of the current demand for PET packaging in the market, and the safety guarantee of food-grade rPET applied to food packaging has been upgraded again.
